"Good journey - comfortable and on time"
The ferry crossings between Northern Ireland and Cairnryan were on time and easy to use. The booking with Direct Ferries worked out well. We travelled with friends who booked the P&O Ferry through the ferry company. Ours via Direct Ferries was around 20% cheaper which is a large difference when we all travelled on the same ferries at the same time etc.

"Cairnryan to Larne"
Although I live in Wales, it is cheaper and quicker to, travel to see my parents in Ireland via Scotland, Ihave used this route about 7 or 8 times and have to say I have never had a bad experience, the whole process from arriving to getting off at the other end is always a pleasure as the staff are more than happy to help in any way they can, my wife uses a wheelchair and the boarding staff always make sure we are parked as close to the lift as possible. The staff on board are friendly and do what they can to make your journey as pleasant as they can

Everything went so smoothly, we boarded in good time and disembarked exactly 2 hours later. The employees couldn't have been nicer or more efficient. A most enjoyable journey.

"Good journey and free films to watch"
A short holiday in Ireland saw me and my husband booking the ferry from Cairnryan to Larne and back. Booking was easy online and I printed out the booking email which is your 'ticket'. The process of checking in and boarding was prompt and efficient and there was plenty of comfortable seating to choose from. We went into the video lounge on both journeys and watched films which were surprisingly current. On the journey back I was hampered by a sprained ankle and crutches but it check in staff made sure we were parked near to the lift as the stairs would have been a non starter for me. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly. Altogether, a good service.p

"Mostly decent"
The ferries have moved on massively in the last few years. Cabins now all have showers and tea making facilities. The beds are basic but comfortable. There is plenty of seating room in the lounges and plenty of tables and power sockets too. My only complaint would be that when I booked I was told to get there anytime after midnight and I should be able to board. We got there around 12.45AM but didn't boatd until nearly 2.45 so that was a waste of 2 hours.

"Excellent service."
Right from the point of checking in at Cairnryan you could not fault this service. Efficient, well organised and on time. Service in the priority lounge was great and the food was tasty and good portion size. Would definitely recommend this service and will certainly use it again.

"Ferry from Larne to Cairnryan"
The outbound journey started with us being at the head of the queue driving into the disabled section. This gave us easy access to the lift which took us to our floor where we were shown the club lounge. It was very nice. We had access to coffee and tea, free nuts and snacks and also a bowl of fruit. We were able to order a hot meal if wished. This lounge could only be used by people who had a room code and was paid for in advance. On the return journey we decided not to use the club lounge and found that the lounge area was just as nice, although we had to pay for our coffee and snacks. I think in future I will just be using the basic facilities as they were adequate.
