Newcastle is famous for its Geordie culture and perhaps its football team - Newcastle United, but if you’ve never been there, you’d be forgiven for not knowing what a wonderful city it is. Newcastle features world class shopping at Grey Street and Grainger Town, awe-inspiring attractions such as the Tyne Bridge, Victoria tunnel, the remains of Hadrian's Wall, Jesmond Dene Park, an array of galleries and so much more.
Newcastle city centre is relatively easy to navigate on foot and as many areas are pedestrianized, it’s a great destination to spend the day in for a short break.
