"Good find and good service "
Found direct ferries site when looking for short visit to France. Excellent booking service cost considerably less for same crossing if we had booked via Brittany ferries directly. Smooth check in at both ports. Good facilities on board.

"A very smooth trip"
A smooth crossing and a smooth professional experience on the overnight Portsmouth Crossing to Caen. The staff were always helpful and friendly, the over night cabin was surprisingly a comfortable experience, with a gentle alarm call about an hour before docking. For those that don't want an early night there are various on board entertainments ie a film centre, bar with a singer. A continental breakfast is available in the morning.

"Caen to Portsmouth"
We took this 23:30 voyage on board the Mont St Michel. This ship was the best we have ever been on for a Channel crossing. It was just like being on a cruise ship. Even though there were hundreds of French children on board, there was ample comfortable seating (for a change) and the facilities were excellent. The whole appearance of the interior was one of very high quality. If we choose this route again we'll ensure this ship is available.

"excellent last day to our european trip"
We sailed out to France with another company and not until we returned with Brittany did we realize what a superb service Brittany offer. The experience started in Caen with the excellent customer service personnel when nothing was a problem. The vessel was outstanding with plenty of room , good food and again excellent friendly and helpful staff. Thank Brittany see you again soon. :)

"easy travelling"
Good well equipped ferries.bright and clean, free wifi. Good food. Enjoyed the cinema. I think the price from Portsmouth to Caen is rather expensive.Only took this ferry to save on the driving time in France. Would consider taking my caravan over to France if the price was lower.

"Effortless travel"
From queuing to board, to eating, to shopping, to landing the whole Brittany Ferries experience is effortless. Its seamless. Its comfortable. The food is tasty. The wine is wet. There is lots of space to move around and find a place to have a quiet chat or read. Setting off from Portsmouth was a pleasure in itself with such a wealth of historical stuff to see - The Mary Rose being the icing on the cake. And if retail therapy floats your boat the shopping outlet on the quay side has a vast array of shops and eateries to suit all tastes. Just over five hours later you are in a brilliant part of France with very little traffic, fabulous plat de jours, very drinkable wine for two euros a bottle. I worked out that the savings I made on a boot full of wine paid for the week long trip. Book up and enjoy!

"Its a Mini Cruise Ship People..."
Its hard to overstate how impressed and pleased I was with my overnight voyage on the Mount Saint Michelle from Caen to Portsmouth. The ship is gigantic. The food service is first rate! They have a beautiful Ribeye Steak for 9.95. Fantastic! I loved getting a drink and sitting in the lounge before bed. My cabin was clean and comfortable. By taking the Ferry overnight I saved a night lodging and had time on arrival to motor up to Stonehenge and still get my hire bike back to Reading Harley Davidson an hour before 12:00. Just a fantastic use of my time and energy. I totally recommend this crossing.

"Caen-Portsmouth ferry on la Normandie"
I was travelling this route for the first time, and with my precious companion, a sixteen-year old dog from New Mexico. From the entry to the dock until arrival, we were both treated with respect, kindness and consideration, and given priority loading. My only complaint is that whilst Waggs was warm and cozy in his bed on the backseat of my car, I froze my butt off on my couchette! At 02h00 I went to reception, bought a blanket and was fine but temperature regulation was a little sketchy. Excuse this small complaint: my overall experience was wonderful, from start to finish. Please congratulate your staff and crew. And now I am sitting in London in a heat wave and a night in your floating refrigerator would be quite welcome! Best wishes, Giselle
