"overnight Portsmouth - St Malo and return"
V.good, smooth crossing. Found the on board instructions referenc e cabin directions a bit confusing however lots of helpful staff. Unable to book rwo-birth cabin without bunks this we found tricky for one 79 and one 75 year old, but survived the top bunk! Comfortable. Excellent meal in restuarant - booked out on return trip so we tried self service- also excellent and a lot cheaper. Embarking and disembarking totally controlled and excellent with no delays.

"Great service"
All the staff are very helpful and despite the delay caused by strong currents (outwith their control) they efficiently dealt with any problems and were helpful from start to finish

"enjoyable trip"
Brittany Ferries overnight trip from Portsmouth to St Malo is a very easy way to travel. We never felt rushed, the staff were polite, friendly and helpful, we had time for a great self service meal and a film in the cinema, before getting a good nights sleep in the cosy but comfy cabin. We left feeling refreshed and fit for the 8 hour drive ahead.

"Excellent."
A most enjoyable trip. Loaded early, found cabin then a superb dinner in the restaurant - well worth the money. A restful night, quick cup of coffee and off the ship for the long drive south. Could not have worked better.

"holiday visit to France"
Travelled with my wife, daughter and her boyfriend. Ferry was on time and we had a good crossing. Daughter and boyfriend enjoyed some but not all of the caberet. Staff very friendly and helpful. On disembarkation we noticed one of the crew going down the isle of cars with a jump starter. Little did my wife and I know that it was for my daughters boyfriends car. He held things up a little but all came good in the end. Had a good holiday and returned on the same ferry. I would recommend this crossing to everyone travelling to Brittany. Very relaxing andcomfortable.

"Miam!!!"
We use ferry's between France and England quite a lot .. maybe 4 to 6 times a year ... and this journey is the best. Brittany provide a really pleasurable and comfortable journey, and most importantly, have excellent catering services. A high point of our journey was to relax and enjoy the buffet with a bottle of Gewurtztraminer. All staff from arrival, deck/parking and on passenger levels and restaurants were very pleasant and welcoming. We will definitely be using the ferry again.

"Short break"
Decided on the spur of the moment to take up the special offer fare. It was certainly considerably cheaper. We have used this crossing several times before and it is ok. Probably because we're getting older we think we will go for a cabin next time rather than the reclining seats, which are fine coming back during the day.

"Good once again"
There is little to say about the quality of this ship. It suits us down to the ground. There are plenty of choices for sailing times.

"Crossing to St.Malo"
Everything was 'plain sailing' and all went to plan without any problems. Fast and efficient service at an affordable price. I can definitely recommend this crossing as you arrive early next morning already further into France therefore less distance to travel when heading south.

"Good Trip"
We found all of your staff to be excellent. The people on the book in at Poole at 6.30 in the morning were very very kind and they were a pleasure to deal with. Others could take lessons from your staff. All knew what they were doing and put us all in the right place and the right time.

"Easy trip!"
Despite having booked for the previous night in error,we were able to change dates very easily. Didn't like bow-stern orientation of bunks which accentuated the ship's motion. Ok meal. Easy xrossing.

"An enjoyable crossing."
Boarding was well organised, we were given a card reminding us of our garage location. Staff very helpful and friendly, a well equipped boat, with a range of entertainment for all ages. The food was of good quality and very reasonably priced. An overall very good experience.

"St Malo - Portsmouth"
Having crossed two weeks earlier on the fast crossing between Portsmouth & Cherbourg we'd favoured the ease of staying in St Malo & leaving on the 10:30 morning ferry. We'd not given it much more thought than that, however we were both pleasantly surprised by how much we & more so the kids enjoyed it. We did have very calm seas but more so the boat crew, facilities were excellent & the kids loved the panto. All in all a very easy & surprisingly relaxing finish to the end of the holiday.

"good but not good value for money"
The staff were very competent and the ship was spacious and certainly not overcrowded. The service was very good in the restaurant and although the food looked wonderful, it was extremely limited for vegetarians. We ate a plate of ratatouille, which was very good, but there was no choice for those of us who don't eat meat or fish. I felt that the trip was extremely overpriced and learned from others that they had paid much less for the same journey.
