Operated by Tallink Silja on the Helsinki Tallinn route
The modern 2000 passenger carrying Tallink Shuttle Star entered service in 2007 and operates year round in the Baltic Sea. The hull’s green colour reflects the environmentally friendly aspects of Star’s design which includes better fuel consumption, more modern technology and she creates much smaller waves compared to other high speed crafts!
Onboard you’ll find numerous facilities to keep you occupied including a choice of restaurants (à la carte, buffet, pizza and café), a huge shopping area, children’s play area, a business lounge, an observation lounge (private parties), cabin accommodation and more.
Tallink Star has a choice of en-suite inside and outside (sea view) cabins which can be found on decks 8 and 9 at the rear of the ship. There are also cabins specially adapted for wheelchair access (located on deck 8). In terms of reserved seating you’ll find a 120-seat Business Lounge with wireless internet connection and TVs. For private parties there is an Observation Lounge on the 9th deck for up to 250 persons.
There’s no shortage of places to eat onboard the Tallink Star. Take your pick from the versatile á la carte menu or head to the 450 seater ‘Shuttle buffet’ restaurant (located on deck 8 at the front part of the ship) which serves a buffet breakfast on departures in the morning and a warm buffet Lunch or dinner on other departures.
‘Quick & Easy’ is in the middle of the ship on deck 9 and serves delicious pizzas, hamburgers and ice cream while ‘Café Snack Time’ (deck 8) offers sandwiches, rolls, salads, pastries, drinks and warm dishes.
If you fancy a relaxing beverage onboard then head to the ‘Seaport pub’ on deck 7 at the rear of the ship for various drinks and snacks while in the Sunset bar (deck 9) you can admire the beautiful scenery and enjoy a refreshing drink.
Tallink Star features 1500 square metres of pure shopping on deck 7! In the supermarket you will find alcohol, cigarettes, sweets, toys, souvenirs and food while in the perfume shop you will find a wide selection of perfumes and cosmetics.
Children are well catered for onboard the Tallink Star with a dedicated a playroom which can be found on next to the Quick and Easy restaurant on deck 9.

"Everything was perfect"
The ship was beautiful and it was funny. The return was a bit different because it was at 22h30 and the passenger were not the same ' type '. But it was O.K.

"Very efficient, lots of amenities. "
The ferry is very fast and the boarding is very efficient. Its obvious they do this route many times a day. Many options for food, supermarket etc. I was extremely tired on this ferry and could have done with lying down. Could have had a cinema sort of room.

"FERRY REVIEW"
The ferry was so much bigger than expected and had everything on it. Just wished there were a few more sofas to sleep on.

"Wonderful journey "
We were very pleased with the service the maintenance of the beautiful ship the dining experience and also the duty free one of the best. There was a delay on the onwards journey by almost an hour but the return was very much as per schedule. Will definitely recommend to friends.

"A Great Service, Especially the Seat Upgrade "
I went for a day trip to Tallinn from Helsinki and the ferry was an excellent way to go. I especially appreciated the upgrade to comfort class after a long day walking around Tallinn. The ferry was VERY full and crowded, but comfort class was quiet and I even caught a quiet nap on the sofa on the journey back.

"Quick, convenient and comfortable"
We travelled on the Tallink Silja feery between Helsinki and Tallinn on 25th June, and found the service both quick and convenient. As we had opted to travel "Comfort Class", we had the use of a special lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks, making the journey an extremely pleasant experience. Moreover the ferry arrived on time!

"Ferry fun!?"
I didn't ever think I'd write a review about a ferry journey from one location to the next but I am... It was actually super fast, efficient and weirdly enough fun! You had funky music and lounger chairs outside with open bar to admire the views leaving Helsinki and live music and entertainment on board to! Loads of fun and games too for anyone with kids as they had a children's entertainment team ...but I quite enjoyed singing along to that too much to my boyfriends dismay. All in all a great experience...the quickest 2 hours spent on a ferry ever!!!!
