Formerly the Celtic Horizon, Stena Horizon offers a relaxing and comfortable crossing between France and Ireland. Stena Horizon has a capacity of up to 1000 passengers, 200 cars and up to 120 freight vehicles. On board facilities include 110 cabins varying of different sizes and class, bar, restaurant, lounges, cinema, children's play area and an onboard shop.

  • "Relaxing start to a holiday "

    Really enjoyed travelling to France this way. The only downside the shop was tiny and did not have a lot in it. Everything else was great . Will travel to France by ferry again.

    Overal, the trip was good but the quality of the food has gone down compared with a few years ago. Also the PA speaker was not working in our cabin so we could'nt hear announcments. Apart from that it's a great setvice.

  • "Excellent family ship"

    Excellent ship all round except for the cleanliness of the toilets. My 7 year old went to the toilet only to have walked all over human faeces. I went in to the toilets and it was everywhere and i mean everywhere. One hour later i went back to check and it had not been cleaned despite me telling someone unboard. My daughter was very distressed and her shoes and socks were distroyed. I was very annoyed at this. We had to bin her footwear and shower her. I was on a Stena ship last week and there was a cleaner in tge toilets every 15 minutes as my wife and i were sitting opposite the entrance. If the cleanilness improved unboard Irish ferries they would get 5 out of 5 but we had a traumatic ecperience and would question whether to travel again

  • "Efficient service"

    The ferry journey from Rosslare to Cherbourg was great. It saved us driving through Scotland and England to get to the south of France. Well worth it. As a disabled passenger, I was disappointed to not have access outside. Also, I found it bothersome to have to ask for a key to the disabled toilet when I wanted to go. How about installing RADAR locks in order to make the toilets open to disabled customers only?

  • "N. Ireland to France, the easy way"

    A very relaxing, stress free way of getting to France from N. Ireland, without the need to use the ridiculously priced ferries to Cairnryan and then drive 500 miles down through England. The timing of departure and arrival makes is compatible with onward journeys and makes the crossing seem to pass quickly. Cabin clean and reasonably comfortable. Would definitely travel this way again.

    Friendly staff well appointed HOT showers in the cabins and very easy to get on and of with a bicycle. The only downside was the lack of WiFi, but meet many friendly travellers so not a great issue.

  • "A really nice trip"

    It was our first time in Irland. We often do long trip. The hospitality was really good: some guys were playing at the entrance and they gave a good start an unforgettable trip. All the services: from th office on board to the restaurant and duty free were di excellent quality. The only flaw was the price. For us it would be better to do the "camping on board" formula.   • "The best so far"

    My wife and I travelled on the Stena Horizon in mid May 2015, return - Cherbourg/Rosslare. We have used most of the cross channel carriers over the years so have a broad experience. We were absolutely delighted to discover that not only was the Stena Horizon spotlessly clean and the crew really helpful and friendly the food available was excellent. We could not praise Stena Lines more highly.

    In general I recommend the ferry. A bit swings but with some medicines you will be fine. If you want to save I recommend by the ticket as soon as possible and sleep on the sofa in the restaurant. They are very comfy :) A lot of people doig like this. The food in Buffet is expensive. Very clean place, safe and nice
