Positano Guide
Situated on the west coast of Italy, Positano is a small town forming part of the Amalfi Coast. There are many ferry routes departing the port, typically crossing to other coastal towns in Italy and ranging from around 25 minutes to 70 minutes.
What is there to do in Positano?
Much like most of the west coast of Italy, Positano is incredibly photogenic. Sun kissed beaches decorate the coastline and colourful houses line the town centre; when envisaging a postcard picture Mediterranean town, Positano is what you’d imagine. The town’s appeal lies in the wonderful aesthetics of its landscape; walking trails dominate the land, affording glorious vistas of the surrounding mountainside. The beaches are also ideal for a leisurely stroll whilst embracing the refreshing sea breeze, especially in the summer when the sun shines down on the azure blue waters. Although the beaches are often fairly peaceful, much of the activity revolves around the beach clubs and bars that are dotted along the shoreline, creating a youthful energy.
To really experience the beauty of Positano, a few companies offer excursions around the water encompassing the town. For those that prefer to spend their time on land, many tours are available around the religious sites scattered around the town, as well as some of the large parks. After a day of sightseeing, head to one of the excellent restaurants that serve delicious seafood fresh from the water.

Most choose to travel around the town on foot to bask in the warm weather and idyllic scenery. Alternatively, there is a bus service in operation, travelling to popular regions of Positano.
