TTT Lines provides a year-round ferry service for both vehicles and passengers, between Napoli on the west coast of Italy and Catania, Sicily.
Using two ships named Trinacria and Partenope, the fleet comprises newly built, roll-on roll-off passenger ferries that came into operation in 2002, with cruising speeds of 22 knots and a gross weight capacity of 7,200 tons.
Once on-board TTT Lines' ferries, you’ll find comfortable seats and a choice of accommodation which are all en-suite. This includes 78 cabins, both internal and external, containing 2 beds with 2 top folding bunk beds and all the amenities needed for a comfortable journey. Both carrying 950 passengers, you can also relax in the restaurant bar, the bar located at the stern of the ship, and in the living room, complete with armchairs, sofas and coffee tables. For meals, the ships have elegant dining rooms where passengers have use of a self-service restaurant and an à la carte restaurant, both serving fine Mediterranean cuisine.
"Convenient, comfortable and enjoyable"
I recently read bad reviews about the ferries in Italy. This trip from Napoli to Catania Sicily was perfect. The cabins were larger than I'd expected, the self service restaurant food looked great. Everything was easy, getting on and off (however the boat was not that full).

We did the return journey. Very clean ferry and early in both directions. Nice cabins with good showers and a/c. Good food for a ferry too.

The negative first: there were no signs to the ferry at all, if it hadn't been for friendly customs and port authority officials I doubt we would have found it. Eventually we got to the office (a portacabin) which was closed, although a shuttle bus (people carrier) was waiting outside. Once we were on board, the journey was absolutely fine, it is a great route and the departure and arrival times really worked for us (much better than Palermo - Naples which we'd explored before). I'd definitely recommend this ferry.
