Good service I would recommend them again

I booked a ticket and by some reason the return date was wrong. I called them ( the waiting time is really long) and they sorted my problem without too many questions

Very good customer service

I rang up yesterday after I made a mistake on my booking, booked 2 passengers and forgot to book the car. Spoke to Tom at about 11pm. Extremely helpful , professional and very quick to get my stuff up sorted. Had a confirmation of new booking before the call was finished. Very impressed. I wish we had this customer service in Australia.

Cheaper than direct for me... but highlight additional charges UPFRONT.

Overall good, but 1 star dropped as although The overall price was cheaper than going direct to Stena, I'm always irritated when sites add "processing charges" at the end after you've entered all your details, and which were never mentioned previously... and for a visa delta transaction too.

Trieste Guide

The city of Trieste is located in the north east of Italy and lies towards the end of a narrow strip of land between the Adriatic Sea and Slovenia, immediately south and east of Trieste. The city's history has been heavily influenced by its location at the head of the Gulf of Trieste, at the crossroads of Latin, Slavic and German cultures. The city has a number of theatres and has a thriving cultural scene for visitors to enjoy. The theatres in the city include the Opera Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi, Politeama Rossetti, the Slovene Theatre in Trieste, the Teatro La Contrada and the Teatro Miela. A popular attraction in the city is the Castello Miramare which was built between 1856 and 1860 and is located on the waterfront around 8 km from the city. The castle's gardens are open to the public and contain a variety of trees and two ponds, one of which is noted for its swans and the other for its lotus flowers. There is also a Castle annex and a small chapel where a cross made from the remains of the 'Novara' is kept.

The port provides adequate facilities and public conveniences for passengers. The Stazione Marittima passenger terminal has a departures lounge, coffee shop, lavatories, a convenience store and public telephones. Ferry services from the port depart to Pula in Croatia and Igoumenitsa in Greece.

Piran Guide

The Slovenian town of Piran is located on the Gulf of Piran and lies on the Adriatic Sea coast and is regarded as one of the most picturesque and oldest towns in Slovenia. The town was ruled by the Venetians for several centuries and this is reflected in the architecture of its buildings that can still be seen today. The town began to grow in the 7th century and is when it was first mentioned in historical sources. Throughout its history it has been ruled by different cultures although the Venetians perhaps held the most influence. In 1283, Piran accepted the authority of Venice which was maintained until 1797 when the Venetian Republic declined. Following this Piran fell under the control of Austria until 1918. In the period between both world wars this territory belonged to Italy and later to Yugoslavia and then Slovenia.

Ferries from the town's port depart to Venice in Italy.
