Train and ferry to the Isle of Wight via Cowes and you’ll be travelling on the Southampton to East or West Cowes service operated by Red Funnel. Ferries to West Cowes utilise the high speed Red Jet passenger ferry and take around 25 minutes while services via East Cowes are operated by the Red Funnel car ferry which takes around an hour. Upon arrival at Southampton Central station you’ll need to hop on the free shuttle bus which runs between the bus stop outside platform 4 exit and the ferry terminal. Journey time is approximately 15 minutes. Taxis pick-up just outside the entrance of both terminals however it is advised to pre-book.
