Rosslare Guide

Rosslare is on the southeast coast of Ireland, at the south of a small peninsula that borders the Irish Sea. The port is used as the gateway to Wales, Guernsey and France, with crossings to Pembroke, Fishguard, Cherbourg and Roscoff.

What is there to do in Rosslare?

The small port town holds a charm that belies its small size. Like many towns that host a harbour, the main activity revolves around the ferry terminals, with much revenue generated from the port. Away from the ships and shoreline, Rosslare relies on its attractive landscape to appeal to tourists; endless green fields define the land with an abundance of walking trails that are ideal for a mid-afternoon stroll. If walking doesn’t sound too desirable, a highly regarded golf course has proven very popular, and for a more relaxing experience, treat yourself to a spa day.

After breaking a sweat traversing across the verdant land, indulge in the wide selection of sweets on display at the town’s famous sweet shop. Anyone with a sweet tooth should head there to stock up before boarding the ferry for their journey.

How do you get around Rosslare?
