    We had vouchers via online booking. Were advised to check in and exchange for tickets an hour before departure. This worked well. Embarking and disembarking were both smooth and fast. Waters were relatively calm (not much wind) which made for a very smooth crossing.

    we have just returned from Syros and have enjoyed our time in Greece as we always do. We had to catch the hellenic ferry from Paros to Syros and we caught the Hellenic to Mykonos on our return. All booking went through and we had a e mail ticket which we exchanged at the port for the tickets. Forming one of the Cyclades group of islands, the island of Mykonos lies between the islands of Tinos, Paros and Naxos. The main town on the island, also called Mykonos (or Chora to the locals), has typically Cycladic architecture on display with its white washed houses with painted blue windows, pretty narrow streets and pebble-stoned pavements and small white chapels with sky blue cupolas. Many visitors choose to simply take a stroll through Chora, the old port, Little Venice and the Castle to take in the charm of the town. The island in general has a lively nightlife and is sometimes referred to as the "Ibiza of Greece" as a result of its summer club scene which is a major draw for thousands of tourists each year.

The island has two ports. The old Mykonos harbour is where passenger ferries arrive and the New Port of Tourlos is where mostly cruise ships dock. Ferry services from Mykonos depart to Piraeus and Rafina on the Greek mainland and to the other islands in the Cyclades, the Dodecanese islands and to Crete. Conventional and high speed ferries operate to and from the island.

Paros Guide

The Greek island of Paros is one of the Cyclades group of islands and lies in the Aegean Sea close to the island of Naxos which is about one hour away by ferry. It is a popular holiday destination and has a reputation for being a friendly island and very welcoming to its visitors. It is the second largest of the Cyclades and has many things to see and do including taking part in the many different water sports that are on offer. There is also the Church of Panagia Ekatantapiliani which dates back to 326 AD and is also popular with tourists. For a relaxing way to spend your time on the island there are some lovely tavernas that line the Parikia seafront and also some lovely beaches that include Agia Irini, Farangas, Kato and Logaras.

The island's port is in Parikia and hosts both conventional ferries and high speed ferries. Ferries generally depart to Piraeus and to the other islands of the Cyclades.
