Montenegro Lines

Montenegro Lines regularly traverses the Adriatic Sea, all year round, linking the port city Bari, on the ‘heel’ of Italy, with the coastal town of Bar in southern Montenegro.

Consisting of Sveti Stefan I and Sveti Stefan II, the Montenegro Lines fleet has a choice of accommodation, all with luxurious modern furnishings and double or single beds, making the overnight journey as comfortable as possible, which usually takes nine hours. Passengers can also enjoy a full service restaurant with a menu featuring many Italian classics, while there is a selection of bars serving up refreshments as you gaze out to the Adriatic Sea.

On approach to Bar, the gloriously green mountains begin to loom over the horizon, as do the Blue Flag beaches, captivating hillside ruins and terracotta roofed coastal towns. On the return leg, Bari begins to display its magnificent castle, idyllic Old Town and grand boulevards, which have earned it the nickname ‘the Bologna of the south’.

The cabin was ok, but the en-suite could have been a bit cleaner. Ferry was fine otherwise.
