"brilliant "
I recommend this, as we found the ferry to be prompt, easy to use, was fun - with an entertainment segment if you went to the back of the ferry, and i must say very good toilets and a clean ship ! We spotted pods of porpoise in the sea, too, so that was a bonus. It was all part of the fun of the holiday and i will remember it as being very enjoyable.

The ferry ran on time despite arriving late into the port of San Sebestan on La Gomera and there being a swell at sea. The vessel was comfortable and staff were efficient.

There are many older building that remain in the town which pre-date the increase in tourism which began in the late 20th century. The town has two beaches, made up of black volcanic sand, and a number of bars, restaurants and clubs that cater for the increase in visitor numbers. In the promenade area of the town, away from the beaches, there are many shops including boutiques, designer labels and many other places to pick up a bargain.
By following the promenade to the west, Los Cristianos gradually blends into Playa de las Americas which has a reputation of the being the party capital of Tenerife. This is because it has many nightclubs and bars but also has an excellent selection of shops. For a more sedate way to spend your time, take a ferry to the island of La Gomera where visitors will find rainforests waiting to be explored. The crossing to La Gomera takes around 70 minutes.
From the town's port, ferries can be taken to Valverde, San Sebastian de la Gomera and Santa Cruz de La Palma.
The Spanish city of San Sebastian de la Gomera is the capital city of the island of La Gomera, in the Canary Islands. Due to its historical links with the discovery of America it is also known as "Isla Colombina". The city developed around a natural bay and still visible today, and of interest with tourists, are many preserved monuments such as the Church of La Asuncion, the Pozo de la Aguada and the Torre del Conde (The Tower of the Count). Tourist facilities in the city are excellent and include a wide range of leisure facilities, especially a number of different water based sports in the port area of the city.
Head inland and there are many hiking and cycling trails to enjoy and are a great way to explore the mountainous terrain of the island along with some of its natural treasures such as the Majona Nature Reserve and the National Park of Garajonay.
As well as numerous daily crossings to the neighbouring island of Tenerife, the port also offers trips around the island by catamaran.
