Good ship. Booked a cabin for the way out and arrived well rested in Norway. On the way back, we enjoyed our trip in the public spaces. Good coffee!

I have nothing but positive experiences with this ferry. As a motocyclist, you get to board first without waiting outside. You need to bring your own bike chains. Thus, the risk of damage is very limited. The accommodation on board is also very good. The fact that the sea was very calm and the sun was shining made the journey better and a lot easier. We could sit outside in the sun.

Known for its fishing and ferry port, the town's economy is heavily reliant on the fishing industry and on tourism, with many houses available to rent during the summer months. The ferries that use the town's port bring the tourists into the town which benefit the local shops. Particularly large numbers of Norwegians visit Hirtshals to shop all year round. One of Europe's largest aquariums, The Nordsoen Oceanarium, is located in the town and has over 70 different species in its collection.
The harbour is full of activities and the ambience is authentic. When visiting Hirtshals enjoy the natural surroundings which are ideal for many outdoor activities.
From the port, ferries can be taken to Bergen, Kristiansand, Stavanger, Langesund, Larvik, Seydisfjordur and Torshavn.
The Norwegian town and port of Langesund, and the administrative centre of the region, is an old coastal town that can trace its history back to 1765. The town's economic fortunes have been linked to its harbour for lumber, shipbuilding and for ice and is located on a fjord also called Langesund. Visitors strolling through the town will see some lovely well preserved, and some restored, buildings that date back to the 18th century. Heading away from the town the area is rich in flora and geology, and to take advantage of the great outdoors, the town is known for having more sunny days than any other coastal town in Norway. The city is perhaps at its liveliest during the summer months when a number of concerts and festivals are held in the town, including the international Shanty Festival and the Seafood and Fish Festival.
The town's port offers ferry services throughout the year to Hirtshals in Denmark. The ferry port has 4 short stay parking spaces outside the terminal. Inside, there are vending machines providing snacks and refreshments.
