    I was planning to visit Stockholm over the weekend but due to the fact that I booked very late, I wasn't able to find a cheap flight anymore. So I decided to take a cruise from Helsinki to Stockholm. I left Helsinki at 17:30 and arrived at 10:00 the next morning, with VIKING Line. It was a very pleasant experience. My cabin was small, but comfortable and I got such a good nights rest (due to the ships movement haha). All the facilities were clean, I really enjoyed my time on the ferry, it was a different experience than flying and I would definitely do it again!

Helsinki Guide

Located in the Uusimaa region of southern Finland, on the shores of the Gulf of Finland, is the city of Helsinki. Helsinki's port, the largest in Finland and the second largest in the Nordic countries, has three harbours and 6 passenger terminals. Ferry services using the port depart to Stockholm in Sweden, Travemunde in Germany and Tallinn in Estonia.

Stockholm Guide

Stockholm is the capital city of Sweden and is made up of a series of islands located on Sweden's eastern coast and is widely regarded as one of the world's most beautiful cities. There are many picturesque scenes to be had in the city and its skyline is reflected in the waters of Lake Malaren and enjoys vibrant blue summer skies whilst in the winter the city is often covered by snow and is scattered by lovely lights.

The extremely modern city is known for its design, fashion and lively nightlife but has still managed to preserve its roots in the Old Town area known as the Gamla Stan, where you can quite easily lose yourself in history.
