About Drawaqa Island:

Drawaqa Island, known locally as ‘Barefoot Manta Island’, is part of the Southern Yasawa Group in western Fiji.

As the local name suggests, the island’s surrounding seas are home to an abundance of manta rays and approximately 7,000 species of fish with bright coral reefs found just offshore.

It also offers over a dozen dive sites with varying difficulties and numerous snorkelling spots, so you can enjoy the crystal clear waters and colourful marine life whether you’re a total beginner or seasoned professional.

A hike along one of the inland trails will take you through welcoming local communities and densely forested areas and, of course, some spectacular coastal views.

Drawaqa Island’s ferry terminal is located on the north coast, offering daily sailings to Denarau on the island of Viti Levu, commonly referred to as the Fijian ‘mainland’.
