  • "Excellent trip and service"

Too bad that the tickets at the Balearia port office for the return trip from Denia to San Antonio (Ibiza) were €318. I booked through Directferries and paid €347, meaning I paid €29 more! You should have told me it was cheaper to book at the port.

  • "Glad we took the Denia-Ibiza route"

It was much cheaper than the other options for Valencia and faster. I would have expected more signage at the port at the Ibiza end since we are tourists and needed to know where the nearest bus station, taxi rank would be located. luckiy a member of staff gave us some instructions.

Denia Guide

The Spanish city of Denia is situated in the Alicante region of Spain, on the Costa Blanca around half way between Alicante and Valencia. Denia is quite close to the town of Xabia and lies on the Mediterranean Sea coast. it is opposite the Balearic Islands and has the impressive mountains of the Montgo Natural Park as a backdrop. Providing excellent views of the city, the surrounding area and the sea is the town's 11th and 12th century castle which overlooks the town. Within the castle is the Palau del Governador, the castle's museum. The town is host to a number of festivals but is perhaps best known for the running of the bulls fiesta which takes place each July and has been declared as being of National Tourist Interest.

The town's beaches are wide and great for watersports and tend to have been awarded the European Blue Flag for water quality and clean sand. Located to the north of Denia visitors will find the fine sandy beaches of Les Marines. To the south of the town is the rocky area of Les Rotes which has spectacular coves and crystal clear waters which make it the perfect location for snorkelling or scuba diving.

From the city's port visitors are able to catch ferries to the Balearic Islands which depart on a daily basis.

Ibiza San Antonio Guide

San Antonio is a town that is located on the Spanish island of Ibiza, one of the Balearic Islands, and is famous for its spectacular sunsets viewed from the equally famous Café del Mar. The town's lively night time economy, with its many bars and clubs, has made it a popular holiday destination. Outside of the main summer months, between May and June and September and October is the perfect time for couples and families to enjoy the delights of San Antonio which includes a new promenade and the lovely beaches and the island's clear, warm, waters. In contrast, during the months of July, August and the beginning of September the town is busy with clubbers from Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Scandinavia and of course, the UK, who descend upon the town in their tens of thousands.

San Antonio is around 20 minutes by car from Ibiza Town and is characterised by a beautiful palm lined promenade which surrounds the busy harbour. The harbour, called Portus Magnus by the Romans, is one of the most beautiful and famous natural harbours in Europe.
