The bus network links the ferry port with most major attractions, as well as the railway station, which is just ten minutes away. The closest airport to the terminal is located in nearby Oita and is easily drivable and just a forty five minute commute on the local buses. If travelling by car, Beppu ferry port is 15 minutes from Oita Expressway Beppu IC.

The ferry terminal has plenty of facilities for passengers. The large building houses restaurants, a supermarket, cafes, a post office and even and arcade to help get through your waiting time. It is also a short walk from downtown. As for the ferries, there are six daily Uwajima Unyu Ferries sailings to Yawatahama, taking around two hours and forty five minutes.
